The Man Who Quit Money: An Interview with Daniel Suelo

Daniel Suelo credits his early thoughts about living without money to his Evangelical Christian upbringing, and the example of Jesus who gave up possessions and gave freely to others. He wondered why more people didn’t follow Jesus’ example and and didn’t trust that things come to us as we need them. Suelo has been living moneyless since 2000. He lives in caves, eats what wild vegetation he can find, accepts food from strangers and friends, and dumpster dives when needed. Suelo hopes the example of his life will inspire people to think about sustainability, greed, and global relationships.
